Standalone Clone

"My music can be described as synth pop with influences from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Some of the songs are instrumentals, some are with vocals. I love strong melodic elements, a solid rhythmic drive and to experiment with analog synths to obtain a personal and organic sound. " Standalone Clone (Olav S. Flaa)

About my songs:

23/8/2019: "Popcorn" is a cover version of the instrumental synth classic written by Gershon Kingsley in 1969. However, Hot Butters cover version released in 1972 brought the song to the charts. There are many cover versions of this song out there, but I do believe my version is a new approach to the song. I did the musical arrangement, played all instruments on an analog synth, mixed and mastered the track. I also programmed the drums based on samples played by Jon Anders Vold, thanks so much for your help! The nice cover illustration is by Peggy and Marco Lachmann-Anke. There are links to the song on Spotify and Apple Music on the release-page. However, the song is available on most common music platforms such as Tidal, iTunes, Google Play and Youtube Music. 27/4/2019: "I won't let the sun go down on me" is a cover song written by Nik Kershaw (first released in 1983).
The young and talented Isak Sæheim Pedersen did the vocals and former bandmate Kai Even Waterloo Laugtug played the drums. Thanks a lot for your great work! I played the other instruments on an analog synth. I also did the musical arrangement, mixed and mastered the song. There are links to the song on Spotify and Apple Music on the release-page. However, the song is available on most common music platforms such as Tidal, iTunes, Google Play and Youtube Music. Check it out!
